Happy New Years!

Ok so I have less than a couple hours before we can say that, but since most will read this tomorrow it seems appropriate! I just wanted to get on here and give a shout out and post my Let's Go Camping top, which I finally have the border on! YIPPPEEE It's my OMG project for this month and I was having a hard time getting it done! Now I just have to quilt it and bind it and it's snuggle time! I made mine a little bigger than the original plan from Pat Sloan's, but I really loved the  bald eagle print and that brown multi color Batik I used as a border for the blocks and setting triangles!

I also didn't clean up the picture, or take a straight on photo. It was raining out and I could only go back so far. I'll bind it with a binding and flange, that's the way I like to bind my quilts. It will have a silver flange (the same that's edging the blocks and the main binding will be the brown multi batik.
I hope every ones Christmas was wonderful and your New Year is full of wonderful days!

Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quiltville Quilt A Long!

I can't believe I haven't posted about this yet! THIS is the Quilt A Long that quilters clear their calendars for! If they don't it sure seems that way to me! The anticipation grows and grows and the excitement is contagious! This year it's called Good Fortune, what a wonderful title!
Tomorrow will be clue #4 or I should say in a few hours...I'm such a night owl! So here are my blocks so far, Clue 1, Clue 2 and Clue 3a and b. I went a little darker with my colors with a navy blue, hunter green and a burgundy (though many are lighter) and golden orange. some are shades lighter but I was mainly going for the darker tones. And of course I'm no where near finished with any of the amounts needed! But I'm having fun trying out the clue for that week.

I'm really liking these colors and can't wait to see how they all play together! There is still time to get her patterns, just head over to Quiltville and check yourself in for some fun!
I hope to see you there!

Hello December!

And Hello One Monthly Challenge! I have been trying to figure out what I what to accomplish this month, it seems never ending! 😂 But I don't want to get myself overwhelmed with Christmas just around the corner (it just doesn't seem possible!). Since I didn't get my project for last month completed, that will be my goal. To finish the top from Pat Sloan's Let's Go Camping. I have to cut the triangles and sew the diagonal strips together. I would love to say I would have it quilted too, but I have a quilt to do for one of my quilt guild friends.
Here's my photo of my OMG project...

I wanted to spread it out on the floor, but have you SEEN my dog! He's got a ton of hair and now he's going through a blowout...loosing his summer coat and getting his winter coat in (it's been going on for a couple of months!). Of course that means no matter how often I brush him, rack and vacuum the carpet if he just walks through there are little puppy clumps everywhere! Sorry I just didn't want to spend all day tomorrow using the lint roller on my blocks! hahahaahaa I have two rows sewn and my hope is it won't take much longer to finish this up. I have a feeling my son will be appropriating this one!
Get ready for the weekend!
