What's in store quilting wise that is! I want to join more links and get more done! Last year I only finished 3 quilts! How sad!!! I did complete several flimsies...Is that how you spell the plural of flimsy? Anyway, I have found several blogs that I enjoy and a few new ones that I want to participate in along with the ones that I already participate in. I put their buttons on the right and it should take you to their blogs to find out more about their link ups.
One of the new ones is Quilting Gail. She runs the PHD or Projects Half Done. I love that don't you! Check out her blog for the details! Here is my list of PHDs, I keep a bullet journal and figured it would be easiest just to post the pages from that.
Numbers 25 and 26 are my ongoing projects. I'm using certain blocks from the past Aurifil DOM QAL along with some from this year. I love the ease of coloring in the sections that are done. As you see I have more than 12! I like that I can pick and choose what I want to work on and try to get finished.
Of course I'll continue to link up with OMG, For The Love Of Geese, and Free Motion Mavericks, hopefully more often, at least that's the goal. I'm going to try and not start too many QALs, they usually get me bogged down. I will do Pat Sloan's QALs. She is the first QAL I participated in when I started quilting and feel a connection with her.
The second page is for something new I want to do and that is to start making my own quilts and writing up patterns. I have several that I'm excited about trying, a few I already have the material for!
So let's get this year going!!!!
Sheila
Hi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in PHD in 2021! I love your bullet journal! Such a great idea!
It is my dream that we all finish our UFOs and keep the UFO list in check and accomplish our PHD in 2021!!
Happy Quilting!
Gail
Thank you Gail for visiting my blog and for helping me stay on track! I'm looking forward to a productive year.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you showing the pages of your bullet journal. I am having trouble finding the best way for me to keep up, not with the quilts I want to get done, but the challenges I want to keep up with.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it and hope they give you an idea of how to keep track. I used this way last year and loved when I was finished with a task and could color in the block. I have another way of keeping up with active QAL and projects. I'll post them next. Thank you Rose for visiting my blog!!!
DeleteI love your use of the bullet journal to track projects! I have used one for work for years but never for my creative projects. It looks like we have a lot of UFOs in common - I am a big Bonnie Hunter and Edyta fan also - so I am looking forward to seeing your progress!
ReplyDeleteI haven't finished one Bonnie Hunter or Edyta Sitar QAL yet! I Love Edyta's fabrics and try to get hers as soon as they come out. I'm just saving Bonnie's instructions this year since I always feel overwhelmed with her projects. I am starting Pat Sloan's QAL and I'm using Edyta's Sweet Sixteen fabric, I should finally get a quilt of her fabric!!! Thank you for visiting my blog Dana!!!
